My thought on Danny Sullivan’s post about the “Living URLs”
Reading Danny Sullivan’s post about the “Living URLs”, I think we could have both:
- Dated posts that are not updated (or marginally);
- Pages that are constantly updated with the freshest facts and perspectives.
We can have both.

Danny Sullivan seems to have one king category (“search marketing”) with 2 sub-categories (“SEO” and “paid search”). He has a separate category for “link building”, which I would put into SEO.
Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a sub-set of Search Engine Marketing (SEM)?
Sophie Gironi (an Internet marketing expert) makes me realize that there are 2 definitions of search engine marketing:
- one restricted definition where SEM is confined to search engine advertising (and pitted against SEO);
- one larger definition where SEM encompasses everything including SEO.
I have been using the restricted definition of SEM on this blog, but, now [...]

I have good things to say about HubSpot, which is a set of free tools for webmasters. You should try it, and register there to get their free presentations and videos on search engine optimization.
